I was just curious if there was such a thing where a nurse could work at home on live chat and triage patients. Now this may be something I could handle without the other stressors I've previously mentioned.
Anyone doing anything like this or know of any home/nursing (computer-like) jobs??

I can see the PROS in having something like this. However, I think the CONS would far out weigh the PROS due to all the legalities that would be involved in setting up something like this.
I honestly don't see how anyone would be able to effectively triage a perspective heart/stroke patient over the phone or computer.

No, I am sure, the message would be "go to the emergency room", and after awhile, a recording would do.
In the perfect world, a doctor would pay a nurse to take calls for him at home and forward them to him...ha ha

this advice sounds very familiar!! as this is the advice that we give most of the time to people who call into our er, asking us what we think they should do about such and such a problem.

yeah...I've been looking online, but all I see is "you can work at home" guess what it is??? Home Health case managers You see your patients first, then you can finish up the paperwork at home. No thanks...been there...done that!
