Some of you may know I'm in the middle of opening a cash/free clinic focused on dermatology/skin procedures.
Although I have no interest at the moment to accept insurance, I may want to down the road if the clinic gets real busy and I need to go part time on my current position.
So if you have an established clinic and take different kinds of insurance carriers I'd like to know:
How difficult or time consuming was it for you to get credentialed through the insurance companies? Did you do it yourself or did you hire a company to do it for you?
What about credentialing with Medicare/Medicaid?
How do you bill for your insured patients (billing system, company, etc)?
Do you have a supervising physician? If so, how much do you pay your physician each month?
Do you have an office manager? If so, what is their hourly rate?
Thanks!!
