Any jobs for rural nurses?

Are there any other rural living nurses out there? Where do you find jobs? I live in a little town around Eau Claire and there are no jobs for RN's around here? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I know it's tough! Have you tried all the nursing homes? I know it's not the "ideal" place of most new grads, but it launched my career, and I'm now at a hospital. Good luck!

Oh, and sign up for indeed.com, as they will send you job alerts from all the local papers.

Thank you so much for your reply! I had never heard of indeed.com but now that I have gone there I see several jobs in my area. BTW, I am not a new grad--I have 34 years experience and still am finding it hard to find a job in this area. Thanks again:yeah:

It is just the state of affairs of nursing in Wisconsin.....we have a nursing surplus in the state...and hospitals are not hiring...they just keep cutting staff and making the nurses who stay work twice as hard! Not going to be changing for awhile!
