Any CNA's from Kansas?

Published

I am taking my State exam on Friday.

My Instructor told me that the state of Kansas doesn't do the practice portion of the test anymore only the written exam. Does anyone know if that's true? I cant understand why they would cut that out.

And also is it possible to have results expedited? The reason I ask is because I have a job as a PCT in a hospital lined up but I seriously don't think that they will be willing to wait 4-6 weeks.

Any response would be appreciated!

I'm a CNA and I live in Kansas.

Yes, there is no practice portion on the exam. That part is taken care of through clinicals. It is my understanding that if you don't pass clinicals, you can't sit for the CNA exam. You cannot expedite the results; I started working at my facility before even taking the exam and they hired me as a NATII until my results came in. Your facility may or may not do that. I was able to do all the things I was trained to do but didn't have the CNA title until about a month after I took the test.
