I thought I would start a new thread for the people applying this year, or that are starting in Spring or Fall this year!! I'm currently waiting to hear from them for Fall 2015!! Just finished Statistics with an A and need to submit my new/current transcripts :)

Hi, are you newly applying or were you on the waitlist before? I have been on the waitlist for over a year now. I received the paper in november saying Stats is now a requirement so I'm taking it right now. When I turned in my other paper required a few weeks back though, they seemed very uncertain as to how many people from the waitlist would be in the fall class or how they would be taking new applicants. Now I can't seem to find the nursing website they had online previously or any future applications. The only thing for nursing at AV in 2016 is for LVN....worries me they are dropping the program. Anyone have any info?

I applied last August. I'm positive that they aren't dropping the RN program because I just recently turned in my paper for the new criteria they're doing for selection & the girl said if we were accepted for Fall2015 then we'd be notified in May.. & they're making the selections for Spring 2016 in September.. I believe there's more than 100-150 applicants, possibly more at this point. I was #132 on the waitlist before they started Spring 2015 selections.. If you want more info there is a counselor that personal deals with the nursing programs in the same office as --------------------- in the HS building.. Keep me posted on here maybe I'll be in the same class as you Good Luck!! Who are you taking for statistics??

Did they happen to tell you if they are only going off the waitlist at this point or if they are taking from both the waitlist and the new applications? This part seems very unclear to me. In the past, if your number was below the 60's it was safe to say you would be in the next semester. I'm below the 50's and they said they didn't know if I would make the fall cut off :/

I'm taking Stats at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita with -------------------. I'm NOT a math person but really enjoying the class so far.

I'm not sure how they're doing sections.. They might have told you, you didn't make the cut off for fall only because your currently in statistics & the deadline was last Friday..

I know how you feel! Math is never fun but I loved statistics.. & as for the program I'm ready to start like NOW lol I'm taking my last 2 classes & then I'll be completely done just waiting..
