Hi,
I've been accepted to an Adult NP program at Johns Hopkins or a Gerontological NP program at Yale. I've read that some people think it's better to get the ANP degree, as it's more versatile. I do, however, want to work with an older adult/geriatric population. I also want to be able to get a job and have as many job options as possible (not everyone in long term care is 55 and up, though the majority are). I've been told with the ANP I can easily choose to work in geriatrics, but the GNP degree might be limiting if I can't find that specific position...
Any considerations I should be making? ANP vs. GNP? Why choose one over the other?
Thanks!
