Anatomy & Physiology Study Supplements????

Published

I am going to be taking A&P I in the summer and since our summer semester crams the class into 1/2 of the time that a normal semester has, I am a little worried. :uhoh21: I have taken this class once before but withdrew because of the required study time, but I was taking 6 classes that semester (this is my only class this summer). Also, we can buy a powerpoint presentation from the school bookstore with the lectures on it and our lecture packet which has all of our notes pre-typed but my major problem is that the professor just reads, word for word, from the powerpoint in monotone. It is very hard for me to learn anything when he just reads word for word and our notes are already typed......

So my question is:

For those of you who have already taken (and passed) A&P I, do you have any suggestions of good study aides such as anatomy flashcards (which brand), or any particular method of study that worked for you?

Thanks in advance!

Finishing up A & P this semester (with an A) and all I can suggest is that you give yourself ENOUGH time to study and learn the material--The concepts aren't difficult, it is the amount of information that can sometimes become a bit overwhelming, especially if you wait till the last minute to study. So, take it one day at a time and stay focused. I'm pretty weird in the way that I study...I have tried the traditional methods (note cards, outlining etc) and the only thing I find that works for me is to read the material thoroughly the first time around and on the second read through I highlight and focus on the important information. By the second read i know most of the material. Goodluck! You will do fine!
