An engineering student in need of help.

Published

Hello there,

My name is Sean and I'm in no way a nurse (Mechanical Engineering student… I do understand having a lack of sleep). I do however have a friend going to another college nearby for nursing. She's finishing up her last semester of straight classes and has just one more semester of pure clinicals (I think that's how it's termed. I'll admit I know nothing about nursing nomenclature). She's probably one of the hardest workers I know (works two jobs to pay to go to school) and cares a lot about being able to go into the nursing field. Lately though, she's been getting a bit stressed out with classes/work.

That's where this post comes into play. I've recently been trying to get people (especially other Nurses and Nursing students) to write down some words of encouragement, tips, and or advice. Basically something that you wished someone had told you when you were/are in school. I've been compiling them all down and will be writing them in this notebook I got to eventually give to her when it's filled up. Essentially it will be a book of encouragement that will hopefully act as a moral booster during her final time at school and the beginning of her career. I figure having people that have gone through this before would absolutely mean a lot to her.

If you feel like you might be able to write a brief notes of encouragement with maybe your Nursing title and/or school graduation date, I'd be extremely grateful(I definitely understand just how busy you guys are).

Thank you for taking the time to even read this,

– Sean
