Could someone please help me i am studying my div2 nursing and i have to do a case study on a man who has a above knee amputation he owns his own plumbing business and has 4 children, the problem is that i am having trouble in trying to figure out some short term and long term goals for him.

If somebody could help me out with this i would much appresiate it thank you :balloons:

Still asleep here to have to think so hard so let me see.......

Short term: pain control, wound healing without complications, shrinking stump, increasing independence with transfers and ADLs

Long term: phantom pain control, obtain properly fitting prothesis, prevent impaired skin integrity from prosthesis rubbing, return to work - will need to work on HOW he will be able to perform some functions with his limitations using adaptive equipment/different techniques and know when to have help

Various psychosocial issues r/t impaired body image, decreased independence, chronic handicap, etc work for both long and short term

goals.
