American river college/ssc hopefuls?

I will be done with my prereqs in the spring... so many of the people from my classes will be going out of state because Sac is so impacted. I am already deflated. I really don't want to wait for 2 years to make it in!

anyone else? are you applying? are you in? how many times did it take for you to get in?

Anyone doing anything else to improve their chances? I have like 500 hours of bedside volunteer work and I'll be getting my AA in science in the spring as well. I'm also bilingual. My grades aren't good enough for sac state transfer or I would do that. I have like a 3.3 :/

Hey there :) I am just starting my prereqs at FLC before applying for nursing school at ARC and SCC. I am a mommy of two and it's scary to think that even if I work hard and bust my butt getting these prereqs done and taking the TEAS, that I might not be able to get into nursing school for years because I'm not accepted!!! My husband is the sole provider and we are struggling to pay bills. I want to be a nurse, not only to help people but to help my family not have to struggle to get by. I am afraid to even try. Maybe I'll feel different tomorrow. I hope that you get in, though! I will definitely be praying for you and you will be on my mind. Good luck! lol Sorry for my blabbering. It feels good to let it out every now and again.
