American medical institute in houston tx.

Does anyone have any information on the American Medical Institute? I'm interested in their lvn program and am wondering if their program is worth the money?

The Texas Board of Nursing website shows that the school is currently on "Conditional" approval status, which means they cannot admit new students. Their NCLEX pass rate for 2011 was only 50%, and for 2012, 69.70%.

Expensive, only conditionally approved, and abysmal pass rates for the boards. In my book, that's three strikes, they're out. There are many many less expensive, fully approved programs with decent pass rates in and around Houston. Why risk it?
