Has anyone used the preservative free medications such as Lidocaine and Hep vaccines? I would like to know the rationale on these meds??

Please clarify your question. Many people are allergic to preservatives, e.g.,

thimerosol.

I had a med supply person tell me that many offices are now using preservative free lidocaine and vaccines. His rationale was sketchy at best.

Do you ask patients if they are allergic to thimersol?

How do you decide which patients need preservative free meds?

What kind of data is there to support the necessity of preservative free meds?
