Well guys, I'm about to start my first job as an RN!! YAY! Now i'm on the hunt for some comfy shoes that can handle 12 hour shifts. I've noticed a lot of nurses at the hospital where i'll be working wearing Alegria clog shoes. I was wondering if anyone has tried these and what they think about them...they're super cute but I also need them to be super comfy!! Any tips?

Hi Linz,RN,
Congratulations on your new job!
Nurses love the Alegria Shoe because they are comfy and cute. They have a removable insole in case you have your own orthotics, they come in a variety of colors that are much more vibrant than the usual white or black comfort shoes that are available for nurses. The rocker sole almost walks for you once you put them on.
Just google alegria shoes and there are a number of online retailers that offer the shoes. alegriashoeshop.com has closeouts if you want to try them out first without spending too much to see if you like them. A new line is slated to come out this fall. One of the new models is a mary jane type shoe. There are some stain proof versions too that will survive a stint in the OR.
Good Luck with your new job!
Loren
