Alaska travel nursing!!

Hi all,

I'm also looking into Alaska travel as an option. I know its cold there but its also beautiful!

Any information regarding the Alaska experience is appreciated.

Well it's only cold in the winter. You'll have to adjust to the sun also. Depending on what time of year you're going you may only have 4 hours of sun or no darkness. This can be very hard on some people.

I am taking my first assignment to Alaska the end of July. From speaking with other travelers who have been to Alaska regardless of the area all have truly enjoyed their assignment.

I'm looking at Alaska in the future as well. I've been there before and it is definitely a unique environment. I loved all that sun in the summer. Big giant mosquitoes but who cared - all that sun! I want to spend the dark winter there once so I can get a really good view of the Northern Lights. Working on that bucket list :) Not a great place to travel with pets. The stories I could tell but otherwise, it's a great place to see. I say go for it.
