Nursing Students CNA/MA

ok, so next semester am i going to be doing a cna program at my community college. mind you this is in the bay area of california. the north bay. i'm not sure how easy it is to get hired as a cna around here with no additional medical experience, but i'm pretty sure it's harder than a lot of other places from what i've read. would taking a phlebotomy technician course benefit me? but please read on.

i'm just worried because it seems like every place around here only wants to hire cna's that have experience. but how can i get any experience if no one is willing to hire entry-level cna's?? don't want to invest all that time and money and then no one is willing to hire someone who has just been certified! which leads me to believe that if i get certified in another area then maybe i could stand out more to employers.

also if i choose to go down the path of phlebotomy, would being a cna benefit me there? is phlebotomy even going to be a valuable skill to someone who is looking to get hired as a cna?? i was thinking ekg tech but i don't have that kind of money, the only ekg courses around here are at csu's. i can basically only afford to go to community college right now, and hopefully whatever path i choose there will allow me to save money to move on to more a more advanced health care profession in the future.

thank you!! :p i know, i am one confused girl....
