Hi all, I am starting my ADN program this fall and wanted to know what steps I should take to insure that I can get into FNP program when I am ready.....Do I need A's in nursing school........letters of recommendation from clinical instructors?.......
I am noticing the more I look into it that FNP programs vary-some are certificate programs- some are post masters- some are just masters tracks
So what is the difference? One program I saw said you had to take Stats and Physio within the last 7 years because it was a prereq. Uh by the time I finish a bachelors in nursing it may be close to seven years -(I took stats last year and Physio in 2000) Im gonna have to take Physio again ! when I have a BSN ! thats crazy.
Thats just one particular program but all of them say something about English and Stats.
So I am just worried applying to FNP school may make me have to redo 'nursing prereq' classes from 10 years ago seems ridiculous
Im in California if anyone knows more, thanks!
