Adult NP Going Back for FNP

Published

I'm having such a hard time finding a job as an adult NP I've decided to go back for a post-master's certificate and get the FNP. I'm excited but frustrated because I was hoping to be done with school by the time I was 40 (I'm 39).

I know I will need a new laptop. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good one? A friend got a MacBook for her NP program but I don't think I can afford one of those.

I need some suggestions as far as supplies to have, etc.. I do have a Samsung Galaxy III with Medscape loaded on it which should be helpful.

Thanks

I love my HP- and Walmart has very decent ones for under $300 right now for their "tax-time" sale! =)

I just got an HP with Windows 8 and touch screen, I am also in a post master's program and I am liking the new laptop so far

There are a couple things to consider with a Mac

1. They give education/student discounts.

2. They have a nice selection of refurbished computers. These come with the same warranty as of you bought new. This can be a great way to get a Mac.

I've never had a computer as reliable as Mac...
