ADN vs BSN Programs Boston area

Published

Hi there,

I am currently in the process of looking at schools to apply. I am finishing up my A.A in Business adm at BHCC , and after thinking about what i really wanted to do with my life, I decided to give it a chance and go into the healthcare field.

A bit of a backround about me, i graduated from a HS that focuses on science and maths but after graduating I felt a bit discouraged from pursuing a degree in nursing so i decided to just take business classes. Ended up not really liking the field, so now I want to pursue a BSN or ADN. I recently applied as a transfer to Salem state and got rejected from the nursing program, I also applied to MCPHS and got accepted.

MCPHS has an excellent reputation for health sciences, but the current reviews for the nursing program are discouraging. So i'm not sure if I should continue on and finish my pre-requisites (i'm missing A&PII and microbio at bhcc) or pay the deposit to MCPHS.

Well my question is, has anyone recently graduated from MCPHS or is currently attending there and can maybe give me an overview of what the program is like?

I have excellent grades, and glowing recommendations from my human bio professor, but as far as my classes go, in college I only took Human Bio and Calculus. I believe that my chances for acceptance in a nursing program with an assocate's in business are low.

I want to keep trying, but I also would like to know if I should give up.

Thank you!

P.s : so sorry for the long post.
