ADN:Rio Hondo vs Cerritos College & CNA Question.

Published

So Im interested in becoming a RN. Im pregnant and due in Oct. I applied to Cerritos and took a placement test and have to take and adult education class in predatory math which is quite embarrassing but I don't mind. I can't take on a full load right now. Im undecided on what I should do Ive been looking into becoming a CNA so that I am able to work while in school and to have experience under my belt once Im done with the nursing program. Ive been back and forth on school websites and it seems cerritos and rio hondo have different pre reqs not that much of a difference but I do see that Rio Hondo has a pre req 2 physical education pre reqs. Does anyone know specifically what classes I could to gain those units as far as I know cerritos doesn't have that as a pre req. Rio hondo has a 8 week instead of 16 week CNA course in the summer so I was undecided as to what school to go to. Does anyone have any info on either school I want to know because I do want to start in the Spring Semester. I will be taking the CNA course most likely in the summer but want to start taking pre preqs for nursing in the spring. Does anyone know if Rio Hondo offers financial aid for the CNA course and if I decide to go the cerritos route how would financial aid work for 2 schools? Thanks in advance.
