Hi all! I'm new around this joint and have a question that's probably pretty revolving right now, but I'm going to ask anyway
I'm finally starting to consider my future after nursing school ends in May. I'll be an ADN graduating from GTCC.
I'm flexible with location within the state / willing to relocate (actually DYING to relocate) to wherever. I would prefer NOT to work med/surg but I'm pretty flexible within any other environment including Home Health, Hospice, LTC, whatever but my calling is absolutely L&D or travel nursing (I think, hehe). What I'm looking for is places that are still hiring ADN new graduates within the state & I'd love your help. Also, even though I prefer not to work on a med/surg floor in a hospital, I'm realistic in knowing that I might have to start here to get where I'm goin, just as a disclaimer. Also, I do plan on getting my BSN ASAP but I'm still considering where I will get it from based on where my first job will be.
So basically, if anyone has any general advice, I'd love to hear it. I currently work as a CNA/Caregiver in Home Health but I don't have my foot in the door with any hospitals. I know most hospitals in this area are requiring a BSN unless you are already employed there and will commit to getting the BSN within X years.
