ADN...headed back for more...

Published

I've just about decided that having my ADN is absolutely no better than having a high school diploma. I feel virtually "unemployable" and "devalued" without having a bigger degree. Most jobs I apply for now prefer a BSN nurse. I want to go beyond that though...and eventually shoot for my MSN/Nurse Practitioner.

I have a school in mind for my BSN...but I've already started to look at online MSN programs. What terrifies me the most is the GRE. I am not a good "standardized test taker"...the NCLEX just about did me in! Anyone have any recommendations for distance learning programs that offer Family Nurse Practitioners Programs without the GRE? I know their out there...but would like to hear from someone that has done them or know someone that has. I want to check out all of my options. Thank you in advance!

First get your bsn (and some experience under your belt) before worrying about your NP degree

Getting your bsn will help you do well on your GRE's because you'll learn a lot of things that'll be on the exam.
