Admission to San Antonio ADN Program - Chances based on GPA and Composite Score

Published

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone has any idea about what the GPA and Composite scores (averages) are for those who got into the ADN/RN program at San Antonio College this year or last year?

I have all my prerequisites out of the way except Chemistry 1405. I have B's in all my sciences thus far including Microbiology with no repeated science course. The other classes are all A's or B's. I do have 2 repeats of English 1302 (my own fault for trying to carry English and Ethics at the same time while working 50 hrs a week at the bank) and one repeat of Ethics.

Does anyone know how the Composite scores are calculated - Ms. Debbie showed me how to do it once before - but I do not remember how she did so.

Also would anyone who did gain admittance to the program during the 2013/2014 years mind sharing with me your GPA and composite? I want to try to gauge if I have a realistic chance of getting accepted to the program.

Any information shared would be very much appreciated.

I was admitted to start this fall for the mobility program, only 50 seats per cohort.

I got As in both anatomy& physiology. B in Micro, & a C in chemistry.

My total GPA was 3.04. All prerequisites done with no repeats.

Good luck.

(They just revised the curriculum, so don't buy the old books)

Hi! Do you happen to know how the composite score is calculated? I repeated a science course that I withdrew from with a "W," so I'm wondering how that will affect my chances.
