:)Has any one taken their admission assessment exam for the LVN program yet? If so how was it. I'm getting ready to take this exam and it cost $50 each time you take it, I just want to pass it on my first try.

see the "stickys" at the top of the forum on TEAS V testing. The test consists of basic math, a little chemistry, physics, human anatomy and physiology, and a tiny section on reading comprehension and grammar mechanics. There are practice exams and books you can purchase on the ATI website. like I said, see the stickys at the top of the forum. Most people who have been out of school for awhile find the test to be very hard. So, you need to study. Even if you haven't been out of school long.
Thank you for the in sight, this will help me study better.
Your welcome. I remember being in your shoes 7 months ago! I did all of the requirements for the application process (wrote an essay, paid the application fee, sent college transcripts, registered at the ATI website to take the exam for a few months later). Then the exam that was scheduled was actually cancelled twice:uhoh3: because they did not have enough people signed up! can you believe that? But I figured that since it was so early that people were waiting till the last month to take the test because they wanted to study longer. I tell ya, I spoke to one girl at the test site that took college chemistry and college physics. I was wondering why she wasn't applying for the RN program at the local college . That made me concerned, lol. So, I did badly on the practice exams and did badly on the actual exam and thought that was it--I was not going to have a chance. It was out of my league. But 3 months later I got a call on my cell phone from my husband saying that the school called and wanted to set up an interview!!!!! CAn you believe it? You have to get a 70 on the exam--and I got a 60 because I ran out of time in a few sections and had to guess. So, I had my interview and now I am just waiting to hear from them....
Thank you for sharing your story I realy hope you get in :).
