Adelphi, NYIT bsn programs

I just applied to both of these programs for fall2011 as a transfer student. Anyone currently attending either of these schools? Or have you applied? Any information on acceptance into their program, such as GPA's, etc? Any insight would be great. I currently have a 3.3 gpa so I wanted to know if this was good enough?

I go to NYIT and I love it! There GPA requirement is a 2.75 (bottom line) because they really want a 3.00; and you have to get a C+ in all the Nursing classes and science classes which I didnt find hard. I love the program because its small and personal. Good Luck!

Thanks for your response! I have a 3.3 so I'm hoping that will help. I was a bit concerned because I've read they are still working on getting their accreditation. Do you know anything about that? And have you started clinicals? How are they?

I was worried about that also but I talked to my advisor and I also e-mailed the accreditation agency...they have their site visit this April and that is the last step in the accreditation process! Their almost there! And, no...I haven't started my clinical yet. Right now I am taking my first nursing coorifice, Intro to Nursing and the Nursing Process, next semester I am scheduled to start clinicals!

i attend nyit as well. we recently got accredited by the ccne.

"the program was grated the maximum 5 year initial accreditation extending from october 2010 to june 2016"

if you have any questions feel free to ask.

How do you guys like the program? Are you aloud to take summer/winter classes to graduate quicker, do grads have success in finding jobs? thanks
