ACNP with RNFA?

I am looking for information on UAB's ACNP with RNFA. I am 24 a year old male, I have over 2 years ICU experience and am looking to advance my education. My initial thought was to become a CRNA, because lets face it the money is tempting, but I think I want to stay more on the beside side of things. I have a strong interest in surgery(but no experience), and have even shadowed a CRNA, but was more interested in what was going on "Over the drape".

So, I am interested in anyone in the program, or that has previously completed the program to please give me any information they can such as:

1.) Is there any reason to move to birmingham? (I am already in AL but not Bham)

2.) How is/was the program in general?

3.) Was there major competition when applying?

4.) Can you choose the primary surgical focus you are interested in?

5.) any other information you can provide?

Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks
