What you're going through right now is hell, probably one of the most stressful things you'll ever go through. I've been there. But you will not lose your license. You will go through a tough time, but you can survive it.
what I did for myself and what I advice is to : get a lawyer, get a travel job (make the money and go on with your life)
Get a lawyer immediately, one who specifically handles cases with the BON- a good one. your lawyer, it's going to be expensive, but you won't have to speak to the BON yourself, your lawyer will handle everything. I mean everything, but that will cost you.
Take a travel nurse job right now. thats what I did. get one that pays well. you'll need 10K. That move saved me, I was working and earning while all the investigation was going on.
Your old job is done, you don't owe them anything anymore.
You're not there to prove your worth to them. The only people you need to answer to now are the BON and they will come after you, but they are slow, so live your life until then.
I went through this and I still have my license. I never spoke to the Board personally, not once. You'll get through this. go about your life like nothing has happened, because right now nothing is happening, you have your license, use it.
I am not accusing you of anything but you will get the best answers to a question like this in the Recovery group. They have experience with navigating this kind of situation. I imagine getting an immediate drug screening including a follicle test and retaining a lawyer would be a good start.

Hello, my fellow nurses, last Friday, one of my managers received an Omnicell report that stated that I had been signing out narcotics more than my peers. She then said that we had a meeting on Monday. I went to the meeting. When I arrived, I was greeted by the CNO, whom I had never met, and the director of the pharmacy, as well as my manager, with an HR rep who asked the most questions. They pulled out Omnicell reports, and no EHR records. and asked 1 patient if they received their liquid NORCO, and the patient stated no. I have never stolen any drugs in my entire career. The HR lady told me that I am on unpaid suspension until further notice. THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS MAKING ME STRESSED TF OUT. And they are sending the case to the internal diversion committee. I am so scared I could lose my licence when I haven't done anything wrong. ANY advice or have any of y'all been through something similar
