Hi, I applied to transitions career institute, in flushing, although it's new the dean etc's resume and experience makes it easy for me to being my road to nursing, anyway there is a website for lpn schools in nyc, just google nyc LPN programs. Good luck and congrats on St. Paul's.
Congrats on your acceptance to St. Paul's! !! I haven't back from them yet........Give yourself alot of credit because they chose you out of alot applicants. I say go with your heart/gut when making your decision. I came across this post from a current student thought you might be interested as I know you know you've been looking for someone to give you clear insight. https://allnurses.com/new-york-nursing/st-pauls-school-963148.html
Congrats and good luck again
Hi EvaMilly- I can complete understand and relate. this is my second time applying to St. Pauls actually and I'm also applying to an LPN program through NYC- if you google CNET nursing it'll give you the information- you have to take a test similar to the HESI you have to take for St. Pauls. i met someone who went to Millred Elley and she didn't have good things to say.

Yes! I know heard about the CNET. I'm actually scheduled to take the exam on 12/14. But they so little students that I wanted one more option. I went to Mildred Wallet for information. They want you to do a semester of Medical Assistant before entering the LPN program. That sounded a little shady and made no sense so I passed it up.
Ok I'm taking mine in January- waiting for those test dates to open up . May I ask how are you preparing for the CNET test ? And for Mildred I heard the same thing and it definitely seemed shady to me..Good luck on 12/14 ! As for the CNET program itself, I have only heard good things so far.
I actually did not buy the study guide. So I've just been studying online, and using the HESI and NLN study guide. On the forum below aa lot of people give tips regarding the exam.

I'm trying not to put all my eggs in one basket, so, I've decided to also apply to an LPN program, even though I have just been accepted to an RN program at St. Paul's School of Nursing - Queens. Since I keep getting negative reviews of the school, I want to apply to an accredited LPN program in NYC, but I don't have the time or patience for CUNY at this point in my life. I've been looking at a few LPN programs, for example Mildred Elley, but none of these programs seem to be accredited by the NLN/ACEN. Do LPN programs have to accredited by the NLN/ACEN, and if so, what schools are accredited in NYC? Most of the ones that are accredited are in upstate and are way to far for me. Please help! Thanks!
