Accelerated Program or not?

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Heya! I'm trying to decide on which kind of program I should go for. I really want to get started asap however I have no previous degree. I understand the accelerated nursing programs for BSN can take anywhere from 11-12 months depending on the program however, they require a previous degree.

I'm curious if it would be wise to go for an associates in liberal arts then transfer, or go for my ASN and go for BSN, or go for 's 4-5 year Co-op BSN degree.

I know nursing school is nothing to be rushed, I'm just not a huge fan of working under doctors as a Medical Assistant/Tech. I've such a strong passion to get started and get out there :crying2:

You can transfer into a 4yr program if that's what you'd like to do... If your school offers more of a "pre-nursing" degree, I would start there. You need to make sure you take the correct sciences more than anything. I would check with admissions to see if they have an agreement with the college you would like to transfer to. That way you can stay on course with you classes and they will transfer easier.

One other thought I have is that I think it needs to be a previous Bachalor's degree before you get into the accelerated BSN (I could be wrong though). I also agree with "Finally My Time" in that your best bet is to go into a pre-nursing degree program and go from there.
