I was accepted to the BSN program two yr option fall 2006... The accelerated program starts this winter 2006 ...what yall think?
My main worries is I'm not capable of getting information quickly. I know I'll need to devote my time to just studying. However, I want to know how quick I need to gather information? I really want to do this program but I'm not sure if I'm capable...how did you guys know you were capable of a 1 yr bsn program? I want to hear from nurses who graduated from an accelerated program how was it? Also I'm worry about is the summer section 21 credits with Pharmacoloy/Pathophysiology

You don't say much about yourself. For instance, are you a traditional undergrad recently out of high school? Do you have previous education or work experience? I think one important indicator of whether it's for you is any recent college courses you've taken, and how much you're willing to sacrifice for this. I'm just finishing a 12-month BSN for people who already have a bachelor's degree, and it required a long list of prereqs. It's 20 credits per semester x 3 semesters (fall/spring/summer). I knew I could do it (as much as anyone can) because I'd taken 20 credits in one semester and, though it was rough, I survived and earned good grades. However, I also have a family and a long commute. Can you talk to anyone who has done either of the options you're considering? Nursing courses are intense, with lots of reading and lots of assignments that you don't just dash off in a short time--they require carefult thought and analysis. I didn't get everything out of my courses that I could have because of the rapid pace. If my children were younger (oldest starting college in September and I need to be working to pay tuition), a slower route would have been more satisfying. Though I had a lot of other demands on my time this year, I have been very focused, which was the only way for me to survive. Good luck in your decision process.
I will be a transfer student from a community college. I've taken about 80-85 credits so far. I'm 21 ...:) Well, what I'm worry about is I'm not up to par like others because I feel like I'm just an average student. I feel students who do the accelerated program need to be students who are super smart. I want to know if it can be done with average students and how much information do you need to know from previous classes such as (A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology and etc). I know it's hard to understand me because it's difficult for me to express my feelings :)
