accelerated nursing program

Hello everyone I applied for the accelerated nursing program at GCU. I received my letter from admissions saying I was put on an alternate list but to attend all the orientations like I've been accepted. A few questions has anyone ever been accepted after being on the alternate list and how many people do they usually have on the alternate list. I need to know what my chances are of being accepted.

I was placed on the alternate list for GCU's Fall 2014 accelerated program. I was 20 or 21, I cannot remember the exact number. I was offered a spot twice, but I had to turn both offers down. Spots will become available, so don't worry. The advisors usually call you and let you know about the opening, and you usually have to give them an answer the same day. Also spots can open up anywhere so you may end up driving across the valley to get to class. But there is a very very good chance you will get a call. :)

Thank you so much for the reassurance I am just a nervous wreck. I hope everything goes well.

Don't stress out about it. Stressing only makes the situation much worse than it really is. It stops you from thinking about other things, I stressed and obsessed so much about being placed on the alternate list that I was not able to enjoy my family and friends, or life for that matter. If you get in, you spent all that time stressing and less time enjoying free time with family and friends. The second time I was offered a spot I got a call the Friday before before classes started. So breath, your chances are really good!

Thank you! :)

Awesome your right. So are you in the program now?
