Accelerated BSN Programs With Generous Financial Aid

I have been looking at state schools, but there are only a couple in my state with accelerated BSN programs, so I am trying to branch out with potential schools to apply to.

I do not want to be buried in debt from nursing school, so does anyone know of private schools that offer a decent amount of money? Please also let me know of schools that don't offer any/very much aid so I can cross those off my list! I am also considering direct entry MSN programs if anyone knows anything...

Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what state you are looking in. I'm doing an Accelerated program in Wisconsin at one of three schools that offer the Accel program. My program is 12 months, and after breaking down the total cost of a traditional 4-year nursing degree, the costs are very similar. Check for scholarships...my program offered two significant scholarships to the two (of our class of 30) students with the best pre-reqs. Also check the school financial aid. Other things to consider are if you have to move. My program is awesome because it is online and the school places you at a clinical site w/i 50 miles of home, so we have students from all over the country. This way, I am saving money on my cost of living rather than moving into dorms/renting a new apt, etc. Also look into potential places (usually hospitals) that you would like to work...some provide a 'scholarship' in exchange for 2 years of working for them (on top of your salary).

Ours is only 199 per credit for residents in FL. for 55-60 credits. But you would have to have residency for a year. I havent seen many private colleges that can even touch that. UM is $40000
