Hi everyone!
I am wrapping up ABSN prerequisites. I am questioning the likelihood of getting into an ABSN program (in the Boston area) due to a low undergrad GPA on my first degree. My GPA from my first undergrad degree is 2.5 GPA (due to a lot of things happening in life, like being homeless); however, my recently taken science prerequisites are on track to be a 4.0. I am going to apply to the ABSN program anyway (the worst that happens is I get rejected, right?). My question is this: assuming I don't get accepted into an ABSN program what is the likelihood of employment in the Boston area with an Associate's degree? I would still plan to earn complete my BSN. Would it be helpful to also work as a CNA while completing the Associate's degree? (Again, assuming I don't get into an ABSN program.) I am old (haha)-almost 40 and have a family. I need to work as soon as I complete the program. Help! Thanks everyone! Jessica
