Hi Guys,
I was hoping for a little help and advice if possible.
I am a UK trained Direct Entry Midwife (completed a full time 3 yr course) I am registered as a midwife in both the UK, and Australia. I have over 10 years post registration experience in all areas of midwifery care.
Now, my husband has just been offered an IT job in Washington...I done a little research and it seems that I may be able to register as a LM (Licenced midwife) in Washington as I do not hold a nursing qualification.
I would ideally like to to work in a high risk hospital setting, rather than a natural home birth type environment if possible (simply because this is where all my experience lies) so, does anyone know whether I would be able to do this with the LM registration rather than the CNM?
I would really appareciate any advice and or guideance.
Thanks in advance
