I'm awaiting my acceptance letter for the upcoming '10 spring semester. I've read so much helpful information from this site! I was wondering if anyone knows about when I can expect to receive my acceptance letter? I found info that fall term students received their's about the first week in June. But I can't seem to find anything on spring term. I'm dyinggg waiting!! Everyday I get more and more anxious! Any info is GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!!

Hi! You can call the health professions office and ask. They're really nice and will tell you when they expect the letters to go out. I emailed Prof Beth Batturs, who is the director and ask her when I was waiting. She must have thought me quite the pest!

I was reading through some of your posts. I think you said you were applying with a 3.0. I think mine was about a 3.5something for last Spring's admission. I heard everyone talking about our class and how our "cut off" was a 3.7. Not sure how that could be, but rummors are rumors. I also know a good freinds wife applied for Fall w/a 3.5 and did not make the cut off. Anyway, you can't worry about it too much. IF you don't make it in, and you want to continue pursueing the program, decide now which classes you will retake to bring that GPA up. Look at the 8 courses they use for computing the GPA, and decide which ones will benefit you the most and be easier to get the 4.0 in. Don't get discouraged if you need to take classes over. I took all of my science core courses over b/c my previous coursework GPA was not going to cut it. It seems daunting, but it's worthwhile. In the end, retaking them was super helpful because I think it gives me a huge edge over other who hadn't had them in few years.

Plus, if you're up for a challenge, the A&P 1&2 at AACC is wonderful and would be incredibly useful to you in your nusring courses and career.

Thanks so much for your reply! The health professions office says the acceptance letters are scheduled to be mailed out 1 week prior to thanksgiving. I'm still hopeful...so we'll see!

Oh and i heard that last springs "cut off" was 2.7 lol that's a HUGE difference! I've always heard it's been easier to get in in the spring rather than fall. i even had a professor say that to me once. I just can't wait to get the letter, either way so I'll know where I'm going from here.

Thanks again!!
