On the NCLEX, what questions are considered the most difficult, and that determine the passing standard? I couldn't find an answer on the National Boards of nursing website. I thank you for your responses.

Hey,
When we take the NCLEX, we don't know which questions are going to make us pass. The test taker has to answer enough of the "difficult" questions and then the computer will shut off.
Questions such as "What is a normal potassium value?" is a "knowledge/recall" type question. This is not that difficult does not test someone's critical thinking skills. A question like "Which of the following patients would you see first after report?" That is an "application" where you have to apply nursing knowledge and critical thinking to come up with the answer. Those are the questions that the NCLEX ultimately wants us to answer correctly.
for your reply. You have cleared up a lot of questions that I had about the NLCEX.
