Hi!
So I have finally decided for my career I would like to go into nursing. I would like to start as a RN, and work my way up to become a nurse practitioner. Eventually in my life I would like to be a CRNA.
From what Ive researched I think I should get a BSN first? I considered getting an ASN first and then move to BSN, but I think just going straight into a BSN would be better- because I want to move on to be a NP (so I will need the BSN eventually), and getting an ASN plus a BSN seems like it would take a lot longer. Do you think getting an ASN or BSN first is better? And would going through a BSN program be easier with or without work as an RN (if I were to start off with getting an ASN)?
Also, after getting my BSN, how do I go about becoming a NP? And the same with a CRNA?
And, what are some good nursing schools/ nursing programs? I live in Missouri if that helps, but I am also willing to go out of state to go to a good college.
I am going to be a junior in highschool this year. So, what are some classes that would be good for me to take to prepare me for going into nursing?
If you could help me with any of these questions that would be great :)
