Specializes in I have experience as a NAR and PCA..

I want to see if I have this right...

I want to burn the same about of calories that I take in right?

So if I burn say 2000 calories I should eat that about or less calories right?

I haven't been so good at this calorie thing... I am always confused on it. LOL!

Thanks for your help.

If you want to keep your weight the same you should take in the same amount of calories you 'burn' during the day...take in less you lose weight...take in more you gain

Except that you also have to remember... I believe its called your basal metabolic rate.. You burn calories just being at rest. If you take in too few calories to cover this and you work it all off then I'm betting it won't be a good outcome. My nutrition class said that if you are trying to lose weight then you should try eating 500 calories less then you normally do, provided you aren't starving yourself, along with some exercise.
