The University of Phoenix allows you to take A&P I with out any prereqs......but not sure I want to spend the almost 2k it is to take it there. They also cram it in 7 weeks, not sure how well that will go. As I also work.
BTW, anyone take it from UoP? If so, what are your thoughts?
Does anyone know of other schools who offer it online without prereqs?
Thanks,
Dan

I took MicroBio and College Chem from an online organization called CalCampus. They also offer a basic A&P. Both LSU and Our Lady of the Lake nursing programs said (in writing) that they will accept the credits to satisfy my pre-reqs. I paid just under $500 per course. Also, I needed to complete the courses in a shorter time span than normal and they worked with me. If you need more time, I think they will also work with you but I don't know that for certain. Good luck!

I started a thread about his about a week or two ago. My husband works for Apollo group so I get an 80% discount. I really need that class to apply to nursing and OT school (the nursing and OT school accept them). I was going to take the class on 3/17 but I think it'll be on 3/31.
Thanks for your help!

I took mine at edukan for 500 and about 200 for the books.
cuteazz1,
Their website says that Biology and chemistry are strongly recommended and also that you have to pass a certain level of reading. Not too concerned about the reading part. :)
But not sure what they will say as far as allowing me to jump into the A&P I, I emailed one of the course teachers and she basically gave me the same answer that is in the syllabus. I actually took A&P I years ago(91-91), but it has been so long that most colleges are making me retake it....wisely so, as there is much to remember in that class. But I think I can do it without taking Biology and Chemistry now.
Like everyone else, I am trying to get my prereqs done asap, the sooner they are done the sooner I can join the rest on the wonderful waiting list.
What was your experience with edukan?
Thanks!
