A little bummed

I was going to try to apply for fall admission into the nursing program at the CC I'm currently attending. After thinking about it further, though, I am not going to apply after all. I am just not organized enough at this point, really. I'm still struggling with trying to juggle work/parenthood and my a&p class... which is a lot, for me... I applaud those of you taking multiple classes and doing well! :bowingpur (although I couldn't take multiple classes even if I wanted to as all the sciences are pre reqs for each other :p ) So the deadline approaches and I still have too much to do in too little time.

Also I found out that my intermediate algebra grade isn't high enough, either, even though it's not a factored class in the point system, the minimum is a 2.5 (and when I took it many moons ago as a 19 year old who didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up, I got a 2.0). As it happens, most other CC's require the math to be as current as the sciences, and also since I have to take Chemistry for just about every other program but the one at my CC, it would probably be better for me to retake algebra and get a better grade and a refresher also, before taking the chemistry classes (I had thought about trying to test out of algebra and hopefully score well enough to be considered for fall entry).

I wasn't entirely sure I'd be accepted into the Highline CC program, so it's not the end of the world, but it is sort of a bummer because it's yet ANOTHER class to add that I had hoped I'd been done with. :( It always sort of feels like a 2 steps forward, 2 steps back type of situation as I navigate these classes.

So as it sits, I will be taking Microbiology in the spring. I'll probably try to take the math online over the summer, the chems (inorganic/organic), and stats...but I'm not sure what order I'll be trying to take all that stuff... I might take a break from lab sciences and take the maths first, then the chems.
