Hey, I was wondering if anyone had advice on taking A&P in flex terms. My school is offering them over the summer in 5 week courses. My current Biology professor has told us that we should take Microbiology next (which makes sense) but the school is only offering it over the summer in evening classes, which I can't do. I am very worried about taking A&P in such short semesters, but if I don't I also will be taking no classes over the summer which is a waste of time. I am struggling with whether or not to go ahead and do A&P during the summer. I have no job and no kids, so I have time to study. But please let me know what you think!

I did accelerated (7 week) classes for both A&P1 and 2 this semester so that I could get them both done in 1 semester instead of 2. In addition to those courses I'm also taking public speaking and ethics this semester. The classes are hard for sure, there's a lot to learn in a short amount of time. I see no reason why you won't be able to do it though, especially if that's the only course you're taking and you have no other time consuming responsibilities. I have 2 very young kids, work part time, and do school full time and I finished A&P1 with an A. I have 3 weeks left in A&P 2 and have an A in there as well, along with A's in both my other courses too.

Take it only if you have a pretty good background in those hard science courses, good memorization and concepts, and great studying habits. I also took AP2 in a 7-week summer session at a community college and I nearly had a mental breakdown. Luckily, I passed with a B, but lost 8lbs + had acne; never thought I had acne as an adult.
Started with 25 students and ended with 7 students completing the course.
