Are we going with the idea that the evidence that Trump is unwell is less clear than the evidence that Biden was unwell? Maybe the evidence that Trump is unwell is less clear than the evidence that immigrants were eating cats and dogs.  The evidence that Trump was very close with a notorious international sex trafficker and pedophile is more or less evident than the evidence that Trump is unwell? 

Critical care physicians and pulmonologists are fully qualified to casually and formally identify symptoms which could point to stroke or other significant health issue. 

Trump relied heavily on the opinions of Podcasters to convince the public of some straight up lies in order to get himself elected in 2024. Trump himself participated in the martyrdom of a specific right wing Podcaster and invited a chair sniffing Podcaster to the white house.  So, Podcasters aren't the concern for team Trump.  The concern seems to be with the content which is critical of Trump in very specific ways.

Part of the speech was the stereotypical thing of "if it wasn't for America in the war you would all be speaking German".

That really gets my goat, and my usual equally trite response to that rubbish is that if it wasn't for Lafayette and the French, Americans might still be singing the British national anthem. 

Whatever the who's and why's of American independence or the second world war, it's the here and now that counts. And the future.

I also watched the speech and I felt physically sick. I remember the hopes and the anticipation after the fall of the Berlin wall and the end of the cold war. Fukuyama's "The End of History." I can't believe that Trump and Putin have reduced the world order to this low level.

Here in France very little other than that for all her brown-nosing to Trump, Machado is not getting much attention from him. Should have kept her Nobel Prize on her own bookcase. Trump is neither interested in her nor in fresh democratic elections in Venezuela. He thinks he's secured the oil for the US - he's moved on. 

It also annoys me that with modern news outlets you get a new big story and that becomes almost the ONLY story reported on, other important stories of the day getting sidelined. I do still buy newspapers - old fashioned I know but you get a broader coverage, even if these days they're more analysis than actual news.

One news outlet I do recommend is Singapore's CNA Live, available on YouTube. Despite all the bulletins being called Asia Today or Asia Now it's actually very widespread WORLD news and not that Asia-centric. I get news updates from there that I don't get anywhere else. Worth checking out.

Immigrants eating cats and dogs is not far from reality when you consider that cannibalism is still rampant in Haiti.  I have personally treated a Haitian patient in the ER who had to be treated for potential leprosy exposure due to them eating an armadillo.....

We don't have to travel to Haiti to understand cannibalism.  The USA has provided some home grown examples through our brief history.  That doesn't detract from the fact that the pet eating claim was fabricated to create political attention, and lots of people believe or defend the lie.

You are aware that armadillo are natural reservoirs for Mycobacterium leprae, aren't you?
