It's not the President that is causing the trauma per se, but his minions. The fact that food and medicine is being destroyed rather than be distributed, leaving children to die can be traumatizing. Being summarily fired without cause can be traumatic. Breaking out car windows to drag citizens out of their cars, trying to prevent gender affirming care, blowing up unarmed fishing boats...

I get that lots of folks think this is great stuff. But lots of folks are disgusted and yes, traumatized that this is what our country has become.
If you read Beerman's attached article, the therapist says some Trump followers are obsessed as well. Do you think they should get over it too?

Much of the above is exaggerated, missing context, or simply not true.

Yes.  The obsessed followers should "get over it".

Like I said people believe whatever they hear on the news!

Have realised that the real suffers of TDS are all the Trump supporters who are so blinded by him that they can't see what he is doing. According to the TDS sufferer Trump is perfect and correct in everything he does despite the rest of the world and a lot of Americans seeing that he is ignorant, corrupt, misogynistic and a wannabe king/emperor.

Have a look at North Korea and the way that Kim Jong Un is seen by the citizens there. see if you can spot any similarities between Kim and Trump.

Not many similarities that I see.

What are those who compare him to a dictator?

LOL you can't be serious. How exactly have you "realized" this? Since you live in a different country I am guessing your source is the news. Like I said some people will believe whatever they hear on the news. I am afraid Beerman might be wrong about who is patient zero. Funny how people from other Countries know what is going on in the US even to the point of thinking Trump is anything like Kim Jung Un. Trump supporters are not blinded at all, people see Trumps faults and don't agree with everything he does, just like everyone with every other President (except maybe a few here). Difference is we voted for him bc we think he will do a better job than the Democrats for the US. The job of any government is to take care of the Country and its citizens and Trump is at least trying to doing that, with no help and much opposition from Democrats and media I might add. I really don't care what the "rest of the world" thinks because they do not live here and do not have to live with the consequences of Democrats policies, and again they get  their info from the liberal news who will do whatever they can (and have been since prior to 2016) to make Trump look bad. I still find it sad though that so many people are having mental health issues with this and hope they get the help they need to recover!

Here is how he can be compared to a dictator without actually being a dictator:

He is an admirer of dictators. He has strongman/authoritarian instincts.  He has a propensity to consolidate power and suppress dissent (control over consensus)

He can be all that and still not be an actual dictator because of constitutional restraints, even frayed as they might be right now

I think that the difference between Trump and every other president is that his GOAL is to make people hate each other and hate other people. No other president has done this.

We see this happening to our country and we are called deranged because we speak out against it?

By the way I'm wondering is there any other derangement syndrome or is it limited to Trump? I haven't heard  PDS being thrown around when people speak out against the Russian leader.

How about ODS, EDS, JDS, MDS, DDS, BDS, ODS

And, I could cherry-pick certain things (and have more to choose from) and make the same ridiculous comparison about any Democrat.

You're kidding, right?  The Democrats go-to strategy is to divide us.  They depend on class and race warfare and making victims out of practically any kind of group they can, etc.  Obama fully participated in this.

I won't claim Trump is innocent of this and I do wish at times he'd tone it down.  However, the target in his cross-hairs is his political enemies.  Dividing us is hardly his "number 1 goal".

Simply speaking out isn't "TDS".  It's more about the obsession with him and any news about or action taken by him automatically viewed in the very worst possible light.  I think you know the difference.

LOL, you can't seriously think that Trumps GOAL is to cause people to "hate each other and hate other people"!
Of course division is being propagated in our Country but look no further than the Dems and the media, it has been like this for a long time now. We the people are fighting each other and meanwhile the elites (political and otherwise) are busy living it up! Trump got voted President to clean up the mess in DC. Too bad the Career politicians are fighting him (both sides).
Are there other deranged people besides those opposed to Trump, IDK, ask the psychiatrist?

Still sticking with that Dictator thing huh?
Give it a rest already!

Maybe some examples of the dictatorship allegations (ie not your opinion) might help me see what the heck you are talking about.
