Why would the British Broadcasting Corporation, a British public-service broadcaster be concerned with furthering an American political party agenda?  That just seems nonsensical.

For the same reason that any other Liberal/Legacy media news organization does the very same thing (and has been for a long time). Good question that should be asked of all of them when they should just be reporting the news/facts without promoting their own agenda/narrative. It is blatantly obvious they did do this so maybe you should ask them if you want to know why.

I am also concerned about our "news" organizations on both sides. This however was not a slant by the BBC, they spliced together different sentences from hours apart in an effort to fit the Dem narrative of Trump causing/propagating the "insurrection" when he in fact called for peaceful protest . It was not just bias but downright purposefully wrong information given for a distinct reason:  to further the Dem agenda with a false narrative.

Do you have the same criticism for Fox News, OAN, Newsmax etc. selective editing, cropping footage - showing not just slants as you say but intentional edits to push their political or ideological narrative?

I have multiple examples showing patterns of misleading so-called news reports. As opposed to this one time with BBC

Well since you quoted me saying that "I am also concerned about our news organizations on both sides" it should be obvious that I do indeed have the same criticisms for both sides. I think that the majority of "news" organizations do not just report the facts but have a bias and this is not helping our Country as a whole when they are more interested in pushing their own agenda/narrative than doing their job. They act more like PACs than journalists. I think the word malpractice fits here!

But is this particular case we were talking about the BBC and their pushing of their narrative/agenda.

Like I said. Nonsense.

Thank you for clarifying.

I still trust BBC above many other news organizations. This is a one-off and I think overall their record is strong.

Two of those three have nowhere near the influence that BBC does.

Anyway, I'd love to see your example that is similar to what the BBC did with this Trump video.

Wow, just wow.

They spliced together sentences FROM THE SAME SPEECH! I know Trump can blether but even he would struggle with talking for "hours", although maybe not, he likes the sound of his own voice and he really does talk some nonsense.

In the same speech where he said march to the capitol he also said, "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

What reason would the BBC have to push a Dem narrative? The Dems had won at that point and Trump was just being a spoiled brat who didn't get his own way.

Have you watched Fox news recently?

What narrative/agenda? The BBC is independent.

And before you shout any nonsense, yes it is.

OK? What did the BBC do with this video and how did you see it? It was never shown in the USA and you don't have access to BBC iPlayer to watch it.
The only reason that you are talking about it because yes, the BBC made a mistake and as I have told you before the right wing press in the UK want the BBC banished.

This seems to contradict your previous posts on the subject.

I don't understand the point of this post.  What difference does it make how I saw it?

I've learned its bad idea to post from the pub.
