Anyone hear anything yet for the pre-licensure cohort for February 2017 in California?

OK I just talk to my enrollment counselor she said they will be posting the list in the next couple of days...... and that it was a really large candidate pool this time

No but I have been dying to get either a yes or a no...I am glad that they are finally gonna let us know soon. Did they by any chance tell you where the clinical location was going to be?

No she didn't say where the clinical location would be. All she said was she would be getting in touch with me sometime this week to let me know because they should know in the next couple of days and that because of the January cohort getting pulled there was a lot of candidates in this pool with high TEAS scores..........next cohort after this will be April with a mid-February cut off for applications.

It's a no for me...better luck next time...but at least they are letting everyone know

I'm sorry missfuture_rn102...... I have not heard anything yet, but when I talked to my EC yesterday she told me to just prepare to retake my TEAS exam because of all the candidates they had this time with high scores....so I'm sure I will be getting the dreaded you didn't make it call in the next day or so...... it's okay we can try for the April cohort!

Just got the call it's a no for me also

Sorry to hear the news for other candidates :( I am unsure if I will accept my spot as I've also been accepted to Cal State San Marcos' traditional Accelerated BSN program.

Here is my profile informaiton in case it is helpful to anyone!

Congratulations EsJ87!

I got in as well! was the only school I applied to, haha. I forgot to ask my enrollment counselor about hospital placement! I'm glad I saw this post, now I know! I was hoping for Cedars Sinai, which is right next to where I live, but I guess I will be fighting the traffic to Pasadena.

Here is my profile:

-AP 1&2: A

-Microbio: B

-TEAS V: 94.7%

-BA in Biology (2015)

-300+ hours of volunteering at a hospital

I really thought I would not get in due to my lack of work experience in a clinical setting other than volunteering, but I'm glad they took me in!

Hello EsJ87

How does the straighter line college exactly work? I may need to redo one course to make the cut please advise thank you! And congratulations!

Hi BrandyP

Essentially once you enroll in the course it is 100% your responsibility to read the material and take the tests on your own. There is no professor or lecturer involved, it is all self-taught. There is tutoring available I believe but personally did not use it. The website allows you to put a "timer" on yourself depending on when you'd like to finish the course and gives you deadlines to keep on track. However,r since it is a "monthly subscription" payment, you can take as long (as as little) as you'd like to complete the coursework.

Thank you & Hope this is helpful! :) Feel free to look me up online @ FutureRNJando - i typically write blog posts based on common questions I receive by people
