WSU Nursing School-Interview Questions

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Well, I feel very luck and I did get an interview for the WSU program. I know some people who have posted on this board have been in the program. Can you remember any of the questions you were asked in the interview. I want to be as prepared as I can be. Thanks!

Seattlegal,

Congrats on you interview! This is my 3rd time applying and 2nd time doing an interview so I am hoping my interview goes well this time :) When you go into the assigned room, there will be 3 people interviewing you. They will have you pick out an envelope from a basket. Each envelope has at least 5 questions, the number of Q's vary. They give you about 15 min for your interview, and yes they will be writing down stuff as you talk.

Here is what I remember from my first interview:

Why do you want to be a nurse?

What is your favorite subject?

What would be one thing you can change about the world?

Just remember to smile and be yourself and have fun with it. Let me know if you have more Q's for me I would love to help,so many have helped especially this website..love it!

Hello SeattleGal,

I'm currently a Senior first semester in the program... in about 3 weeks ill only have one semester left, thank goodness! lol But a2012 is right, you go into a room, you have 3 interviewers and you choose a envelope out of a basket. I have to be honest but after I left that room I forgot all the questions they asked me, but the best is to just answer the questions the best you can and be honest. The interviews are faculty at the school and pretty much all of them are or have been nurses and they aren't intimidating at all. So my best advice would be to relax and be yourself!

Hi a2012,

I'm applying to the WSU nursing program for Yakima Campus. Did you also apply there? If so, was it difficult to get accepted?
