U.S.A. Washington

Hey,

I just applied to Skagit Valley anyone else on here apply as well?

If so I saw on their website some changes for 2017 and their average acceptance score of 93/100. I am a few points away from this number but crossing my fingers. Anyone else struggling to get in? I will be applying here for the first time and also Lake Washington for the 2nd time. But hope to get into Skagit.

Oh no! I'm sorry :( well the good news is you should for sure get in for Fall quarter once nutrition is calculated in the GPA.

That really sucks I am sorry Hailee. I got my rejection letter today as well but I wanna meet with an advisor to talk about it because the letter didn't really say much, just that my points were not enough to get in. It's so competitive. I still have lake wa to hear from by the end of the month. But seriously just keep trying if I don't get in at lake wa I'll apply again I the fall to both but also a lpn program. I am hearing more people going into lpn programs because of how competitive it is to get in a rn program. Keep trying we will get there.

Hi! I was accepted into the Spring 2017 nursing program at Skagit!

I live in Gold Bar, so I will need to move up to Mount Vernon for school. I am having a really hard time finding a place to live! Anyone else needing a place to live too?

Mount Vernon is definitely tricky for finding a rental. When I lived there I rented the basement of a large house just because it was cheap and there aren't many apartments to choose from. It was nice because it had a separate entrance and laundry and everything. Right now I live in Lynnwood and I'm just going to commute because I can still be close to Seattle for my job. I would try looking for places in Everett. They have TONS of affordable rentals.

Hi All! I just sent in my application for Fall 2017 entrance. Going in with a TEAS of 89.7 and 95/100 total points. Anyone else here trying for fall?

Hi! I am applying for fall too. Didn't get in because of my science GPA last quarter, but thanks to them adding Nutrition into the GPA score I'll be fine this time around. I'll be applying with 94.8/100. Hope we get in!!!

Hi HaileeJH! That's a great score! I am so nervous about this because high scores seem to be the norm! I really hope we get in. My counselor told me the average score getting in was about 93, so we should be good, but you never know! I started a thread for the Fall Cohort, only one other person has replied, but hopefully more will see it and we can all stress-out together!! Good luck!

Anyone applying for Skagit Valley College spring 2020? This post was a little disheartening. I have an 85/100 (136/160). Should I scramble to retake the TEAS or should I just apply and then take my time studying for the TEAS again if I don’t get accepted? Aghh
