I got my rejection letter today I guess I'm not what they're looking for.

Im in the same boat as you armynurse.... I don't know why I got rejected. I have a 4.0 prereq GPA and a 3.9 overall. But then again I am only 18...its probably because of the lack of experience? I have only worked as a CNA for 7 months.

I have a 3.95 gpa and 6 years of experience as a LPN. I served as a medic and LPN in the Army which gave me experience in a variety of healthcare settings. I also volunteer in the community. I honestly have no idea what they were looking for, but I know they have very few spots for transfer students (their old slideshow presentation on their website stated they only select about 5-10 transfer students). So as far as acceptance goes, I'm not too bummed. We both got into SU which I think is a more diverse school. I know SPU's religious values are a little more strict than SU, so I prefer that when it comes to my own philosophy and education.

Wow! you have a lot of experience! I don't know why they wouldn't take you. I found their application to be pretty general and I didn't try too hard on it because I was freaking out over UW's app but oh well, it is what it is. Oh, did you apply to UW as well?

I did apply to UW. But I feel I didn't do very well on the proctored essay so I'm not very optimistic. I'm just relieved I got into SU which was my second choice. I didn't try very hard on SPU either, I put most of my energy in UW and SU as well. Good luck for UW!
