Accelerated BSN in University of Washington

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hello everybody,

My husband just got a job at Microsoft, and we are moving to the Seattle area. currently we live in Indiana, and I was completing prerequisites to get into the accelerated nursing bachelor's degree here at Indiana University. I googled for equivalent programs and I found that the University of Washington in Seattle offers a similar program, and I wonder what is the GPA you need to be accepted? The website said that you need minimum a 3.0, but my experience tells me that those programs are very competitive, and what I really want to know is what GPA is *competitive* enough to be accepted. In general, is there anybody out there that is in the program and can give me some insight on how the application process was?

Thanks!

SDnurse, that's great news! It's only a matter of time now, but waiting is the worst. I would love to meet up, but I've actually already moved to Seattle. Since it sounds like you may very well be moving here soon, too, I would love to get together once you do. Let me know when you get the call from UW, and we'll set a time :) Also, if you need any help navigating the city or deciding on a neighborhood to live in, I'd be more than happy to help. Best of luck to you!

When did you get your admissions decision? I'm a freshman at SDSU right now and hoping to transfer into the UW BSN program for autumn of 2012, but I am confused about when you actually find out if you got in or not? I'm hoping sooner than later because I will need to take a couple extra classes.

Hi! Im from Miami and Im curious to know what g.p.a and GRE score did you have when you applied to the program. I know its competitive and Im very curious to know! Let me know, thanks! and congrats!

Hi bayeux, I live in colorado and I have my dad who lives in WA and the waitlist for the BSn programs in Colorado are like two year waitlists. How long are the waitinglists in WA?

Thanks!

You apply fresh every year.... If you dont get in you can also apply for the regular BSN program as well. The ABSN has a slightly earlier due date. It gives you time to prep both applications.
