October 2013 Residency - Washington Hospital Center

U.S.A. Washington DC

Published

Hello everyone,

Looking to see who else has been accepted into the October 2013 RN Residency/Bridge program with MedSTAR Washington Hospital Center. I myself am a new grad BSN, coming from 4 years of tech experience (float pool, ED) with Inova and Reston, starting with the ED, which I am very excited about. I have lived in the DC Metro region almost my entire life, but have never worked in DC, which will be a big change. For the mean time, I am still living with my parents, but hope to move to the Loudoun/Fairfax border area soon.

What unit will you be on?

Are you new grad or experienced?

Why did you apply to WHC?

Are you moving to the area or from the DMV?

Anyone in the market for roommates or in need of info on the area? I am happy to answer any questions you have about NoVa, DMV, DC, etc. I am also interested in speaking with anyone looking for a roomate - if you didn't know already, you will soon find out that the area is expensive!

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I received an interview offer for this week. If I find out any useful information, I will let you know

Thanks!!! So did you get offers from Montgomery general and WHC for an interview??

Yes I did get offers from both with more interviews already scheduled before the offers. This is not easy.

I think if you want a big fast paced hospital you should go for WHC and if you want something a little more laid back I would go with the other!

Thanks for the advice. Good luck to you
