LPN's in VA do you have any extra certifications?

I was just reading the thread of extra certifications that some LPN's have and was curious if that is offered in VA too. I would love to make myself as marketable as possible! I hope to start LPN school in September, right now just waiting for the yea or nay from admissions.

LPN's can become certified in wound care also. Try visiting WoundEducators.com. The certification is pretty expensive though.

I agree that whenever you have an opportunity to improve and advance yourself as a individual, you should. I will tell you that as a educator in VA and a current LPN, my continued education solidified a position for me as a educator. My search for additional certifications proved to be well worth my time, I currently average the same hourly income as several of my friends who are RN's. I actually average more than the majority of them. Employers are often encouraged by an individuals decision to continue their education:) Present yourself as the cream of the crop!:)
